In 1990 I was granted by a special committee of the German Society for Clinical Neurophysiology the title of the trainer in clinical electromyography and immediately after I took the direction of the Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology of the Neurology Clinic in St Josef Hospital Bochum.

In the same year I was appointed Deputy Director of the Neurology Clinic at the University Hospital of St Josef Hospital Bochum.

In 1994 followed recognition and certification of my skills in the field of evoked potentials by the German Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (visual, auditory, somatosensory and motor potentials).

In 1998 I received a lecturer (Venia Legendi) at the University of Bochum with my thesis on lectureship on "Μotor innervation anomalies in the hand and the foot: examination methods, frequency, clinical and electrophysiological significance." The same year I was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Crete.
